Don’t sit in front of TV,  watching stupid soaps which do society no good.

How soaps win market?

Can you tell me one good value which you gain by watching soaps, other than you can learn “calumny” from it? These never ending serials just go on with no values to give to its audience.Once we start watching a soap, it slowly starts to rule us.With a very short time, it will become our habit and it is very difficult to get rid of our habit.So without our knowledge we will be addicted to it.This is how soaps win market.You are intelligent and you should not fall into their trap.

Who should watch these soaps?

In my opinion, these soaps are meant to old people who can’t’ go out of home and have nothing much to do.(So, there will be a time in your life when the only thing you can do is to watch it.At that time don’t regret for not using your time and youth efficiently)

These soaps are for those people who don’t know what to do with time.

But you don’t belong to that category.You are youth.You have a lot of potential to do value addition things instead of watching these value negation soaps.You have a long way to go..

Question to you..

Aren’t you bored of the same drama for more than one year with full of camera jerks and fast cuts?

Aren’t you bored of the stories far from realities which teaches how to sour the relation between mother in law and daughter in laws?

Aren’t you bored of the 4 marriages of main character/plastic surgery which changes the person to someone else/memory loss/…?

Aren’t you bored of the sub standard/cheap tricks shown in those soaps?

Yes..you are bored..Then why wait to say good bye to it?

Is it because you have nothing to do in that time?

Think and you will get a lot of useful stuff to do.Please don’t be a normal fool.You are precious and your time is precious.You should not waste it sitting in front of stupid soaps.

Now my dear friend.. can you tell me you are not addicted to it?You may be able to give me a strong YES but can you just prove it by saying good bye to your regular soaps?

It’s how we spend our time here and now, that really matters. If you are fed up with the way you have come to interact with time, change it.

P.S : There was a time in my life when I used to watch these serials and I know how addicted we can be to these soaps.Now I think how nice it would be if I had utilized those vacations efficiently.So I don’t want my friends to repeat the same mistake.

A plastic road is coming up in Kozhikode city, Kerala.

It will be build with the support of National Transportation Planning and Research Centre (Natpac) and it is going to be the first plastic road in our state,Kerala.

If the demonstration project of Natpac become a success :

- It would be a major step in protecting our environment and preserving fossil fuel.Dangerous plastic material which would degrade earth, if not scientifically disposed, can be productively used with the help of Plastic road technology.

- It is durable compared to our conventional roads.So frequency of road repair will be reduced and maintenance charge can  be reduced.Experts claim that plastic roads will be stronger than normals road and have more resistance to heavy showers.

Will anyone say NO to Plastic roads?

The only disadvantage which I can find out now is the cost of construction of plastic road is very high compared to normal road.But I guess, as its benefits are even higher no one will say NO to this technology.

Doubts :

Hope all the tests are done by experts to avoid the danger of emission of poisonous gas and all which may occur when plastic is processed. According to what they said in news, waste plastic material is shredded and is mixed with bitumin.So we can hope it is completely environment friendly.

Again, I wonder whether in Western countries they use plastic roads or not.If not, they give a lot of importance to “Go Green” and is it because of their lack of knowledge in this technology or  have they smelled something dangerous in it which restrain them from using it?Someone can help me on this.

Take some time to read Go Green and act it fast..With that note let me say bye for now..

The first news which my parents showed me when I reached home today morning was “Two software engineers committed suicide due to the fear of getting pink slip“.They took that wrong decision because they feared that they will be victims of next lay off.Both of them are educated persons and married, and I wonder how they could do it.I was thinking about them for a long time and I conclude that the root cause for their suicide is money.

Even in the early caveman days there was no money and there were no software engineering.Still people survived.They had families..they had food,clothing and shelter.They never thought of suicide.

I wonder from when onwards we became slaves of money?

Why people allow that evil thing to spoil our happiness??

Why people allow money to kill themselves??

When did money come to be more important than our life??

What those educated engineers did?

They feared if their job is lost then the source of regular income will come to an end.Then they will not be able to look after their wife and children.These thoughts put an end to their hope.They couldn’t bear that pain and decided to suicide.

What should we do??

First and foremost thing is that we should not follow their(coward’s) path.Have trust in hope.Don’t let it go.Don’t be a fool to think that suicide is the only option you have now. If you lose your job you will get another job.May be you will not be able to earn as much as you did but you can earn how much you need to look after your family.You will have hard times..but only for a short time.For every down there will be a rise and you will find a better way soon..

What you gain by saying NO to suicide??

When you feel better you will find many wonderful experiences - you can laugh your heart out,you can love,you can hear music,you can play your favourite games,you can play with your children,you can help them to be the best human being and you can be an ideal father,you can have good times with your family.You will miss all these things and a lot more if you are not in this earth.

A person who has gone through bitter experiences can enjoy life more than a person who doesn’t know what is hard time.Just live your life as it comes.When you overcome those hard times you will be the happiest person and all those who love you will be happy for you.So give yourself a chance!!

What to do when you feel suicidal?

DON’T DO IT NOW.

Just one thing I have to tell you is “The decision which you take out of emotions will always be wrong.So don’t let your emotions to take the decision for you.You, brave man..just decide that you will overcome this temporary problem and you will not follow the path of cowards!!”

Remember that this tough time is not a permanent condition.With time it will change and you will feel better.

പുറത്ത് കോരി ചൊരിയുന്ന മഴ..

വഴിയില്ലുള്ള ഇലകളെയെല്ലാം തട്ടി മാറ്റി ഭൂമിയെ ആര്‍ത്തിയോടെ ചുംബിക്കാനായ് ഒരുപാട് ദൂരം യാത്ര ചെയ്ത് വരുന്ന ആ മഴയെയും നോക്കി ഞാനും അവനും ഡൈനിംഗ് റൂമിലുള്ള ജനാലപ്പടിയില്‍ ഇരിക്കാന്‍ തുടങ്ങിയിട്ട് കുറേ സമയമായി..

ഞാന്‍ അവനെ കണ്ടുമുട്ടിയിട്ട് ഏകദേശം ഒരു വര്‍ഷം തികയുന്നു..

ഈ സമയത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ പല കാര്യങ്ങളെ കുറിച്ചും സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്..പക്ഷെ പ്രണയം ഒരിക്കലും ഞങ്ങളുടെ സംസാര വിഷയമായിട്ടില്ല..ഒരിക്കലും അതേ കുറിച്ച് സംസാരിക്കണം എന്ന് തോന്നിയിട്ടുമില്ല.പക്ഷെ ഇന്ന് എല്ലാ ദിവസത്തെയും പോലെയായിരുന്നില്ല..രണ്ടു ഹൃദയങ്ങളും ആ മഴയെ സാക്ഷി നിര്‍ത്തി ഒളിപ്പിച്ചു വെച്ചിരുന്ന പ്രണയം തുറന്നു പറയാന്‍ വെമ്പുന്നുണ്ടായിരിന്നോ ??

ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിലെ നിശ്ശബ്ദത ഭഞ്ജിക്കാന്‍ സമയമായി എന്ന് തോന്നിയപ്പോള്‍..

അവനും അതാഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നുണ്ട് എന്ന് തോന്നിയപ്പോള്‍.. ഞാന്‍ ചോദിച്ചു:

“എന്നെ ഇഷ്ട്ടമാണോ ? ”

അടുത്ത നിമിഷം തന്നെ അവന്‍റെ മറുചോദ്യം “Gladiators-നെ അറിയോ? ”

“Hmm..അവര്‍ ജീവന്‍ പോലും കൊടുക്കാന്‍ തയാറാണ്..അവര്‍..”

“I can be a gladiator for you”

ഇത് പറഞ്ഞു കൊണ്ട് അവനെന്‍റെ വലതു കരത്തില്‍ പതിയെ സ്പര്‍ശിച്ചു..എന്‍റെ മനസ്സിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന കോടാനുകോടി ചോദ്യങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ഉത്തരമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു ആ സ്പര്‍ശനത്തില്‍.. അപ്പോള്‍ എന്‍റെ മനസ്സിലുണ്ടായ വികാരം ആരെയും പറഞ്ഞറിയിക്കാന്‍ എനിക്ക് കഴിയില്ല..ഞാന്‍ ആദ്യമായ് പ്രണയിച്ച മനുഷ്യന്‍ എന്നോട് പ്രണയം തുറന്നു പറഞ്ഞ നിമിഷം..എന്നും എന്നും എനിക്കോര്‍ക്കാനുള്ള ഒരു സുന്ദര സ്വപ്നമായ് ആ നിമിഷത്തെ മാറ്റാന്‍ ഞാന്‍ എന്‍റെ കണ്ണുകള്‍ പതിയെ അടച്ചു..

പാതി തുറന്നിട്ട ജനല്‍ പാളികളിലൂടെ മഴത്തുള്ളികള്‍ ഞങ്ങളുടെ മുഖത്ത് പതിക്കുന്നുണ്ടായിരിന്നു..അവന്‍റെ കൈകള്‍ക്കുള്ളില്‍ ഒതുങ്ങി ഇരിക്കുന്ന എന്‍റെ വലതു കരത്തെ ശല്യപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ തോന്നാത്തത് കൊണ്ട് ഇടതു കരം ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ആ മഴത്തുള്ളികള്‍ ഞാന്‍ തുടച്ചു മാറ്റി..എത്ര സമയം അങ്ങനെ ഇരുന്നുവെന്നെനിക്കറിയില്ല..

പെട്ടെന്നുള്ള ഇടിമുഴക്കം കേട്ട് കണ്ണുകള്‍ തുറന്നപ്പോള്‍ ഇരുട്ടായിരുന്നു എന്‍റെ ചുറ്റും ..എന്‍റെ കരങ്ങള്‍ അവന്‍റെ കരങ്ങളെ മുറുകെ പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്..മഴയുടെ ശബ്ദം കേള്‍ക്കുന്നില്ല…ഞാന്‍ അറിയാതെ എപ്പോഴോ മഴ നിന്നിരിക്കുന്നു..അപ്പോഴും എന്‍റെ മുഖത്ത് മഴത്തുള്ളികളുണ്ടായിരിന്നു.

മഴ നിന്നുട്ടും ഇടി മുഴക്കം നിലച്ചിട്ടില്ല..

ദൂരെ നിന്നും ഒരു സ്വരം എന്റെ കാതുകളില്‍ പതിച്ചു “ആശേ.. ആ ഗുഡ് നൈറ്റിന്റെ സ്വിച്ച് ഓണ്‍ ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്ന് ഒന്ന് നോക്ക്..ഈ കൊതുകിനെ അടിച്ചു കൊന്നു ഞാന്‍ മടുത്തു ..ഇനിയിപ്പോ കറന്റ് വന്നാലെ ഒന്നുറങ്ങാന്‍ പറ്റൂ.. ”

പിന്നീട് ഒരു മാജിക്  കണ്ട അവസ്ഥയായിരുന്നു :
എന്റെ Gladiator-ന്റെ കൈകള്‍ ദിവ്യയുടെ കൈകളായി മാറി..
മുഖത്തെ മഴത്തുള്ളികള്‍ വിയര്‍പ്പുതുള്ളികളായ്‌ ..
ഇടിയൊച്ച കൊതുകിനെ അടിച്ചു കൊല്ലുന്ന ശബ്ദവും..
ചെറിയ ചമ്മലോടെ ദിവ്യയുടെ കൈകളെ ഞാന്‍ സ്വതന്ത്രമാക്കി..മുഖത്തെ  വിയര്‍പ്പുതുള്ളികള്‍ തുടച്ചു  മാറ്റി.. അടുത്ത സ്വപ്നത്തിനു വേണ്ടി ഞാന്‍ കണ്ണുകളടച്ചു ..

Lucky are those who have got grand parents

Fools are those who don’t know how lucky they are !!

After a gap of six months, I am going home today.. Last time I was fully available to my mom, to make me healthy and beautiful !! .. But this time it will be different.. I have to attend two engagements and my school Alumni..Most of the time I will be in bus,train and plane but I will not get bored of this journey because my MP3′s tummy is full of her favourite old malayalam songs.. I will be back on 8th february.. So till then hasta la vista
If possible I will get some hot news from Kerala..

My school (Kanikkamatha Convent English Medium Girls High School,Palakkad) alumni is on feb 6th, friday :

I have started my imagination the day I heard this alumni news. My school is the best school(not one of the best schools..it is the best..) in our town. After eight long years I am going to meet my friends and teachers.. very excited. I know there will be more unfamiliar faces than familiar faces.. Still it is my school.. the place where I spent my twelve years..from where I got my dear friends..

Things had changed a lot in these 8 years.. The last comment I heard from most of my teachers are “Only because of your atheism, you lost your rank just for one mark..”
My sisters explanation for missing my name in rank list goes like this : It is like Half god, half man(Thaan paathi daivom paathi).. That one mark is god’s half and as I din’t believe in God he didn’t give me one mark”
What a logic!!
I did my half and God didn’t. If it is like that,they should blame Him rt, for not doing his half ? Then why they told me it is my fault? I don’t know.. May be they are afraid to blame their husband.. Anyways I love my teachers..

Most of my friends are married and settled abroad. So I guess only few will be there.. Still I am excited to see my old friends and teachers.. That old Tom boy is dancing around.. waiting for that day to come..
I am a real Nostalgia queen!!

In my opinion, there are three types of people :

1.If they do some good act, they will let everyone know about it
2.If they do some good act, everyone will come to know about it
3.If they do some good act, no one will know about it

I admire people belonging to 3rd group.It needs a strong and selfless mind to continue their act of goodness even after knowing that their acts are unknown to all but one..

What I have to say is, it doesn’t matter in which group you belong to, always try to do good because it is better than doing bad..!!

P.S 1: Almost all the time I belong to the first group(here everyone means my dear ones) and at times in third.

P.S 2: When I asked my friends, in which group they want to belong, almost everyone told “Second!!”.
Everyone like the impossible one!!

P.S 3:This post may be somewhat vague.I will make it clear by another post.

I have learned that even if we really wish for something we will not get it unless our desire for it is :

1.greater than all other desires we have
2.greater than other’s desire for it.

Here is a post, reading which I was inspired to learn a useful trick..Not giving chance for misunderstandings.Speed test is the thing which inspired me and not ogling .After reading this post I did a google search – how to mentally calculate day from date?Had a glance over many sites and out of that found a site where day calculation method is clearly written.Without taking much time a small trick is in my hand now..If you are interested you can learn this method taking a maximum of 30 minutes.

Inspiration :

I don’t know why this happens with me always.If I am inspired by something , people around me will also be inspired by that.Or am I inspiring them in a Tom sawyer way?? Anyways I am happy when I am able to inspire people to do some good things whether it is directly or not..

My Thought :

Very interesting thing which I noticed while demonstrating this trick is, out of more than 20 people, only one person told me a date which is not his birthday..14th feb 1988.(I failed in that because of my carelessness )Everyone else told me their birthdate and when I get correct the first time, they continued testing me by telling some other dates.The strange thing is all the dates they asked were birthdates of someone related to them..sometimes their brother’s or their sister’s or even their lover’s b’day.

An unnecessary thought came to my mind then..Why people( including me )are this much obsessed of their birthdates??Which date will those people, who don’t know their date of birth, tell if they are asked to tell one date??
